I’m a freelance journalist and writer covering health, science, technology and other topics.
At the moment, I’m in the Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program at New York University. Before that, I worked as a staff reporter for The Press-Enterprise, The San Bernardino Sun and other Southern California News Group papers. I’ve also volunteered with The COVID Tracking Project, interned at The Herald-Dispatch, and have a BA in cognitive science from Occidental College and an MFA in creative writing from Columbia University.
I grew up in West Virginia, lived in California, and am now based in New York City.
